Police released the identity of the man who died in Thursday’s fatal crash on West Bay Road as 41-year-old Anwar Ali Bakari Abdurrahman, a Kenyan national living in Cayman.
He was killed in a collision involving his car, a Honda Civic, and a Hyundai Santa Fe, outside The Ritz-Carlton Residences.
Abdurrahman was pronounced dead on arrival at the Cayman Islands Hospital following the crash.
The driver of the Hyundai, a 24-year-old man from West Bay was subsequently arrested for DUI.
Meanwhile, a GoFundMe page has been launched to cover Abdurrahman’s funeral expenses and to support the family.
