Police confirmed that a 84-year old woman has died on 16 June, five days after she was involved in a serious collision in George Town.
The accident occurred on 11 June at around 3:40pm on North Sound Road in the vicinity of Animal House.
The driver of a Honda CR-V-EX suffered serious injuries when she collided with a Toyata Vitz and a parked Kia Sorrento.
Emergency Services attended to her at the scene before taking her to the Cayman Islands Hospital.
The RCIPS expressed condolences to the friends and family of the deceased.
The collision is under investigation and police are encouraging anyone information or who may have witnessed the incident to contact the George Town Police Station at 949-4222, or the Traffic & Roads Policing Unit at 649-6254.
