The jury has been sent out to consider its verdict in the trial of two former Caribbean football executives accused of corruption.
Prosecutors allege Canover Watson was the architect of a complex scheme to scam more than $1 million from the sports regional governing body CONCACAF.
He is accused of sending false invoices for sporting equipment that was never delivered and diverting the funds to a company he alone controlled.
Bruce Blake is accused of helping him launder the money. Both men are also charged with false accounting in connection with loan agreements for the Cayman Islands Football Association that are alleged to be fraudulent.
Chief Justice Margaret Ramsay-Hale concluded a lengthy summing up of the evidence just before noon Thursday, sending the jury out to consider its verdict on the eight charges.
By the close of the court session Thursday evening no verdict had been reached and the panel was resuming deliberations Friday.
The mammoth trial began on August 8 with multiple witnesses, including anti-corruption investigators, auditors, football executives and business partners of Watson and Blake, giving evidence. Both defendants also took the stand collectively for 11 days to deny any wrongdoing.
