Scores of students marched across Cayman’s capital on Friday, 4 Nov., in an effort to raise awareness of single-use plastics and renew their call for a ban.
The hour-long demonstration was organised by Protect Our Future and began along Seafarers Way, George Town, and ended on the steps of the Government Administration Building.
“Youth voice is an incredibly important and powerful factor in generating change, big or small, in the community,” said Protect Our Future leader Evie Sweetman.
“Such an outpouring of community support and youth empowerment is an incredible thing to see, and we are hopeful that some real changes will come from this march.”
