This weekend, you should ‘consider yourself’ very fortunate to have the chance to see the award-winning musical ‘Oliver!’ on stage.
Lionel Bart’s beloved adaptation of Charles Dickens’ book ‘Oliver Twist’ will be brought to life by the St. Ignatius Catholic School, featuring all the songs you know and love.
The production is running 10-12 Nov. with evening shows starting at 7pm and an additional Saturday matinee on 12 Nov. at 2pm.
‘Oliver!’ Is the story of a British orphan and the cast of characters he meets, including the Artful Dodger and Fagin, as he navigates the streets of London. When the show was first staged on Broadway, it was nominated for 10
Tony Awards and won three. It was subsequently made into a film, starring Mark Lester, and won six Academy Awards.
The St. Ignatius productions have been known to sell out, so buying tickets early is recommended.
‘Oliver!’ runs from 10-12 Nov. in the Loyola Hall at St. Ignatius School. Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for students and can be bought at the school office, located on Walkers Road in George Town. Call 949-9250 for further information.
