More than 50 squash players, from juniors to veterans, turned out for the Cayman Islands Squash Club’s annual Christmas Open.
Sponsored by Scott’s Equipment Ltd, the event featured 24 juniors and 28 adults, competing across 17 divisions.
“The week had some exciting matches, especially in the masters category and its always great to get the juniors involved and see their progress,” said club manager Marlene West. “It would have been great to have more entries but the time of year is always tough.”
Julian Jervis triumphed over his brother Jace to take the men’s ‘platinum’ final. Jade Pitcairn won the top women’s title.
Other winners included Bodey McComb in a competitive boys under-17 division and William Steen in a hotly contested men’s C/D division. Bodhi Philip and Kaylee Pierre were the youngest champions, taking the boys and girls under-11 titles.
