Several of the 16 athletes representing Cayman at the 2023 Special Olympics World Games have already started to secure top performances and podium places in Berlin, Germany.
The mega event, which is ongoing, runs from 17–25 June, with Cayman competing across athletics, powerlifting and swimming.
The swimmers got team Cayman started with Rasheed Lawrence taking bronze in his open water swim on Monday, 19 June.
Dayana Powery and Kanza Bodden notched two more medals for Cayman. Powery swam to silver in the 200 free behind Bodden, who took gold.
