Caymanian jet ski competitor Cline Glidden Jr. cut through the waters at Stone Lake, in LaPorte County, Indiana to win the P1 AquaX Amateur 300 on 30 July.
Glidden, 26, topped the leaderboards with 63 points, besting 18 other riders. He told the Compass that it wasn’t easy finishing first, after facing setbacks in the opening race.
“[My] performance wasn’t the best in the first race as I fell off in the first lap, but moto two and moto 3 I came back strong and got first place,” Glidden said, noting that overall it was an amazing race and a large turnout.
“I’m pleased with my performances and look forward to the next race,” he added.
Glidden is scheduled to compete again in Daytona, Florida during the P1 AquaX USA Offshore Championships from 18-20 Aug.
