2011 Year in Review
Johann was named as the Director of the Merrill Lynch Bank and Trust Company (Cayman) Limited, in 2005 and is responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the Cayman Head Office, working in partnership with the International Trust and Wealth Structuring businesses and bank management on risk oversight, bank strategy, and corporate governance initiatives.
Since joining Merrill Lynch in 2002, Johann has served in various positions, including assistant manager, company secretary and money-laundering reporting officer. Johann received an LLB and LLM in Law from Buckingham University.
Additionally, he has served as a member of the Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce Council 2009-11. He is a co-chair of the Future of Cayman Economic Development initiative for “Diversifying the Economy” driver group; he is a member of the Lions Club of Grand Cayman Board of Directors.
He has served as a member of the Business Staffing Planning Board (2005-2009) and is active in the community on various levels.
