Training for Success

Chamber BIG DATES

Providing an incredibly useful service for Cayman’s business community, the Chamber’s Professional Development & Training Centre has enhanced the skills of over 400 participants in 2012 to date, all of whom have taken the opportunity to broaden their knowledge by attending our training and development sessions.

Now, as the end of the year quickly approaches, we are looking forward to a busy final few months, as well as gearing up for 2013’s schedule, which promises to have just as packed an agenda.

We are particularly excited to be able to present Nadia Brown-Fagan, who will be facilitating a workshop on 2 November, 2012. Brown-Fagan has an impressive background as a dynamic leadership, hospitality and tourism educator, having worked with major Fortune 500 companies as well as several of The Ritz-Carlton Company’s locations right across the globe.

Her workshop is titled Introduction to Tourism Destination Management & Marketing and it will cover a variety of topics, including discussions on effective sales strategies for your business, marketing tools and development, tourism research and reporting and communications.

This course is free to members and early registration is recommended.

This year the Chamber has again partnered with Shirlaws and Key Consulting to provide project management courses as well as CEO workshops. In addition, in order to fulfil industry demands, we are exploring ways to partner with the Department of Labour and Pensions in a new venture to offer human resources related courses.

Look out for more information on this in the months ahead as we finalise details.

We encourage anyone interested in upgrading their personal, supervisory and management skills to visit the Chamber’s website at www.caymanchamber.ky for details on upcoming courses.

Please note, you can access the 2013 training schedule on the Chamber’s website in November 2012.
