Miami Dolphins linebacker Jaelan Phillips recently visited Grand Cayman where he took time out to give back to the local community.

The National Football League player led a fitness circuit class at the Community Calisthenics Park, next to Seven Mile Public Beach on 9 March, with dozens of adults and kids taking part.

“We were thrilled to have Jaelan Phillips join us for this special event,” Brian Walpole, founder of organiser The Rec Room, told the Compass.

The event not only promoted physical activity and healthy living but also provided an opportunity for people of all ages to interact with Phillips in a Q&A session, gaining insights into the world of professional sports.

Phillips, who has been rehabilitating an achilles injury sustained during a game against the New York Jets last November, spoke about chasing one’s dreams, despite facing adversity.

Over two dozen people showed up for lessons and a Q&A session with Miami Dolphins’ Jaelan Phillips.

After undergoing successful surgery in December, he has been following a rigorous recovery plan to get back on the field for the upcoming 2024-2025 NFL season.

“His dedication to fitness and overcoming adversity is truly inspiring and his time with us will undoubtedly motivate and encourage others to pursue their own fitness goals,” Walpole said.
