Brackets announced for the 2024 Cayman Islands Classic

The brackets for the sixth edition of the Cayman Islands Classic have been released, with 13 teams, eight male and five female squads, slated to entertain the spectators at the John Gray High School gymnasium.

Kicking off the tournament will be eight NCAA men’s teams, from 24-26 Nov.

The first game will feature Hampton taking on the returning Boise State at 10am on Sunday, 24 Nov., before South Dakota State plays Duquesne at 12:30pm.

Missouri State will then challenge High Point at 4pm, while Old Dominion will face Boston College at 6:30pm to conclude the opening day’s games.

For the women, action will commence on 28 Nov., with Utah playing Mississippi State at 6:30pm.

Gameplay will resume the next day, with Notre Dame taking on Texas Christian University at 4pm. Mississippi State and South Florida will then the court at 6:30pm.

Joe Wright, owner and CEO of organiser Caymax Sports, said that the women’s tournament, which was first launched last year, will be a must-watch.

The tournament’s final day, 30 Nov., begins with Notre Dame and Utah at 4pm., before TCU battles South Florida at 6:30pm to close the show.
