D´Andre Rowe, one of the best defenders on the football field for Cayman, received his flowers due to his efforts during CONCACAF Nations League play, where he made the best 11 from League C.
CONCACAF announced on 24 Oct. the best player in their respective positions for the October group stage window, where Rowe – a defensive midfielder and captain for his team – was the only Caymanian to make the cut.
“It’s an honour to be mentioned in the best XI for league C and [I’m] beyond proud of myself,” Rowe told the Compass, especially since he has only just recovered from an injury.

Cayman’s final two matches in Group C featured Rowe contributing three steals and nine clearances to help his country finish the group stage with a win and a draw – ultimately earning a historic promotion as the best second-place team.
“Being mentioned in the best XI shows how hard I’ve worked to get back on the field and [I] want to thank the coaching staff and my teammates for pushing me and being with me the whole way of recovery,” Rowe added.
Now Rowe and his teammates will turn their attention to their final games in the Nations League, when they face Guadeloupe at home next month for the play-in round.
After Cayman plays Guadeloupe home-and-away, the aggregate score winner will advance to the 2025 Gold Cup preliminary stage – which would mark the first time the senior men would participate at that level.
