GEORGE TOWN, 9 May 2025 — Compass Media, the Cayman Islands’ premier multimedia company, today announced the historic expansion of its radio network to the Sister Islands. For the first time, residents of Cayman Brac and Little Cayman can tune in to Z99.9 FM, Gold 94.9 FM, Island 98.9 FM and Rooster 101.9 FM – four of the most popular and beloved stations in the Cayman Islands.
“As we celebrate our 60th Anniversary, this is a milestone achievement not just for Compass Media but for the entire Cayman Islands,” said Tripp Donnelly, Compass Media publisher. “We’ve been proud to serve Grand Cayman for decades, and now we’re honoured to bring our content, voices and community connection to Cayman Brac and Little Cayman.”
Omni-channel expansion
The move comes on the heels of another major Compass Media initiative – the launch of Compass TV, the broadcast news and lifestyle channel that went live on 31 March of this year.
This omni-channel expansion further bolsters Compass Media’s commitment to delivering high-quality news and entertainment across all platforms – television, streaming, digital, newspaper, magazines, and radio. With four distinct radio formats now accessible on Cayman Brac and Little Cayman, listeners can enjoy diverse options, from Top 40 hits and country favourites to Caribbean beats and classic throwbacks from the ‘70s to 2000s. “This is more than radio; it’s about connecting the entire Cayman community,” said Donnelly.
