Two drivers suffered serious injuries after separate crashes in the space of three days.
The latest happened the early hours of Sunday morning when a Chery Himla travelling east on Bodden Town Road just past the landmark Lighthouse restaurant left the road and hit a utility pole.
Police said the man, who suffered severe injuries, including to his leg and head, was extricated from the wreckage by firefighters and rushed to hospital, where his condition was said to be “stable”.
The incident happened at about 12.10am.
Another driver also suffered serious injuries when a blue Suzuki Swift was involved in a similar accident on the early hours of Friday.
The driver, who was trapped inside and cut free by firefighters, was said to be in “critical” condition in George Town’s Anthony S. Eden Hospital.
The crash happened on Walkers Road, George Town, when the driver left the road and hit a fence and a light pole at about 3.30am.
A police spokesman said both incidents were under investigation by specialist traffic officers and appealed for witnesses, or anyone that could help with the inquiries, to contact them at 649-6254.
