The newly formed Miss Teen Universe Cayman Islands Organisation hosted a private coronation ceremony at Casanova by the Sea on 7 June, where 16-year-old Esabella Medina was crowned the inaugural Miss Teen Universe Cayman Islands 2026.
This historic occasion marks the first time the Cayman Islands will participate in the Miss Teen Universe Pageant, an international cultural event that brings together young women from around the world to celebrate leadership, cultural exchange and global citizenship.
As the Cayman Islands’ first-ever national delegate to the competition, Medina will travel to Cambodia to represent the Cayman Islands on the international stage. In her role as Miss Teen Universe Cayman Islands 2026, she will serve as a formal ambassador for the Cayman Islands’ heritage, values and national identity while promoting the country as a vibrant, culturally rich and globally engaged jurisdiction.
The Miss Teen Universe Cayman Islands Organisation views this milestone as an important opportunity to showcase the talent, diversity and cultural pride of Caymanian youth while strengthening the Islands’ presence within the international community.
Representatives from the organisation said, “We are honored to launch this new platform for young women in the Cayman Islands and to see our nation represented for the very first time at Miss Teen Universe. Esabella embodies the confidence, intelligence and cultural pride that make her an outstanding ambassador for our country.”
