The Cayman Islands Margarita Festival will be “bigger, bolder and more delicious than ever”, promise organisers.

Now in its fifth year, the event will be held at Public Beach on Saturday, 25 July, and will feature live music, food trucks serving Mexican cuisine and, of course, margaritas. In addition, four bartenders from local restaurants will compete in the finals of the Margarita Masters competition, which had its preliminary rounds on The Island in Camana Bay on 27 June.

Ticket holders will be able to try all four margaritas in the competition and vote for their favourite.

To celebrate its fifth anniversary, the festival has enhanced its live music offerings with global dance music artist Sigala headlining the event, with support from local artists and musicians.

Faster service

While last year’s event saw lengthy queues for the cocktail stations, this year the competition margaritas will be pre-batched and ready to serve for speedier service.

Margaritas will be pre-made this year to reduce queueing time.

Tickets can be bought online with a discount available for early bookings up to and including 16 July.

Ticket options range from general admission tickets, with individual drink and food tokens available for purchase on-site, or a general plus ticket which includes admission and five margarita cocktails. There are also VIP tickets with a dedicated VIP space, while VIP-plus includes a meet and greet with headline artist Sigala.
