People had the chance to test drive new Jeeps or try out their own 4X4 vehicles on a specially constructed off-road course at Barcadere as part of Car City’s inaugural ‘Jeep Day’ on Saturday.

Premier Alden McLaughlin announced Friday that government had reached an "agreement in principle" to buy land on the northern side of Smith Cove from the private owners of the parcel.
