Local advocacy groups are set to mark 16 days of activism against gender-based violence this month to shine the light on domestic abuse. Last year Cayman recorded over 2,200 domestic-violence cases and the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service said they expect that number to be surpassed by the end of the year as they have already registered 1,900 cases through August.

The Business & Professional Women’s Club of Grand Cayman will host two musical showcases in support of the Cayman Islands Crisis Centre’s TAYA Lounge this weekend.
