Forming a new Electoral Boundary Commission next year should give Cayman enough time to consider new layouts for voting districts before the next scheduled general election in 2029, Premier André Ebanks has said.

Only about 60% of April's election candidates will be able to vote for themselves as 23 of them live outside the district in which they're running.

An annual allowance of $60,000 is given to each of the 19 elected members of parliament to pay to run their constituency offices - but the way the cash is actually used appears to vary widely, and there is no legal obligation for legislators to record or report any of their expenditure.
