The Court of Appeal has upheld the conviction of former RCIPS Constable Daniel Ezra Meeks, who attempted to con a 71-year-old woman who could not read or write into adding his name to her property.

Former police officer Daniel Ezra Meeks is jailed for four years for trying to con an elderly lady into adding his name onto her property.

Daniel Ezra Meeks, 34, pleaded not guilty to a charge of misconduct in a public office. Acting Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions Candia James-Malcolm who is serving as Crown counsel in the trial, told Justice Linda Dobbs that Meeks’ actions were deliberate, and he tried to take advantage of the complainant because she was vulnerable.
