Young Caymanian footballers had the opportunity last week to test their skills against their peers from around the world at the Iber Cup.

Several of Cayman’s sports teams and clubs have resumed training athletes in groups of 25 or less following the government’s ease on COVID-19 restrictions announced last month.

Former professional footballer Cláudio Garcia has made the move to the Cayman Islands to join the coaching staff at Excel Sports Management Ltd., where he will work with some of the territory’s most promising young players.

Excel Sports Management Ltd recently donated a 10-person van to Future SC to help with transporting players to training and games.
