This year's Flowers Sea Swim was special in many ways, but to 10-year-old Alexandra Burke, it marked a personal victory.

Participants in what has become one of the most highly anticipated athletic events of the year, the Flowers Sea Swim, did so for a reason.

Jake Bailey and Dominic Hilton both finished in 20:45 to tie as the overall winners in the 30th annual Flowers Sea Swim. They finished ahead of Harper Barrowman who was the first female swimmer, placing third overall, in a time of 20:46.

The Flowers Sea Swim has been around for many years now – a humble acorn that became the mighty tree. Swimmers from all over the world fly here to compete and bask in the hospitality for which the Cayman Islands are famous.
