In order for a vine to grow and produce superior grapes, it must be tended with loving care by those with years of experience, often handed down through generations. The same can be said of Jacques Scott, the fine wines and spirits retailer established in 1962, whose strong roots and growth over the years have borne substantial fruit.

The lessons of years of restaurant experience turned out to be more valuable than youthful exuberance when two talented wine professionals faced off in the final of Agua Restaurant & Lounge’s Sommelier Standoff Series on June 7.

There is nothing new about adding fruits and plants to cocktails, and indeed, people have been doing that for centuries.
