Nectar nightclub in Seven Mile Shops on West Bay Road closed its doors Tuesday following demands from mall owners that the club shut down. The call came following the Oct. 1 fatal shooting of Justin Manderson on the mall property.

Police descended on the Nectar nightclub in the early hours of Saturday morning, exactly a week since Justin Manderson was gunned down near the club on West Bay Road. More than a dozen police officers spent about two hours after midnight canvassing the area around Seven Mile Shops.

Justin Manderson of West Bay was shot and killed outside 7 Mile Shops in the early hours of Saturday in the Cayman Islands’ first homicide of 2016.
