Brac youth gearing up for a weekend of fun, sports and activities
Teenagers and young adults on Cayman Brac will be treated this weekend to an array of free events as part of the Brac Spring Weekend. Kicking off on Friday, March 10, the event is being organized by the Youth Services Unit of the Ministry of Community Affairs, Youth and Sports.

A talk on preventing child abuse in sports drew an interested Brac audience earlier this month keen to learn more about this important issue. A delegation from the Ministry of Community Affairs, Youth and Sports traveled to Cayman Brac to kick off the first in a series of child abuse prevention training sessions.

The Ministry of Community Affairs, Youth and Sports has unveiled amendments to the Child Law, intended to extend additional protections to young athletes. The policy outlines how to recognize abuse, how to respond to instances, and methods to report transgressions.
31 graduate from Civil Service College
Thirty-one government workers graduated from the Cayman Islands Civil Service College last week. Of the graduates, 22 earned honors or merits, achieving GPAs of 3.5 or 3.0 and above, respectively, according to a government press release.
