Blackaby to speak at First Baptist conference

Two well-known Canadian speakers will be featured at a three-day conference hosted by the First Baptist Church of Grand Cayman next week.

The conference, titled “Experiencing God Together”, starts next Thursday, 17 February, and focuses on the phenomenal results that occur when believers experience God on a corporate level.

Blackaby along with his son, Dr. Mel Blackaby, co-authored the book ‘Experiencing God Together,’ which won the Gold Medallion Award from the Evangelical Christian Publisher’s Association in 2003.

Conference goers will hear from guest speaker and esteemed author Dr. Henry Blackaby, author of books such as ‘Spiritual Leadership’, ‘The Man God Uses’ and “Experiencing God: Knowing and Doing the Will of God,” the bestseller which sold four million copies and has been translated into over 45 languages. Dr. Blackaby has provided leadership on spiritual renewal for the Southern Baptist Convention and Focus on the Family. He is also a frequent visitor to the White House where he prays with the US President.

The conference will be held from the 17 until 19 February at 7 pm at First Baptist Church on Crewe Road. The conference also includes a morning session on Saturday from 9am to noon where a more informal setting will allow the audience to interact with the Blackabys in a question and answer session. All members of the public are invited to attend all or any of the meetings.
