Treasure Island employees honoured

Treasure Island Resort established their ‘Employee of the Month’ programme to recognise outstanding performance by individual members of their staff. According to a press release from Treasure Island, the employee who receives the awards has exemplified exceptional levels of work performance and displays high regard and loyalty toward the resort and their job responsibilities.

For the month of February 2005, Treasure Island was privileged to recognise not one but two exceptional employees deserving of this award; Garla Diane Alberga, from the housekeeping department and Mohr Amrin, a chef in Montecristo Chophouse.

‘It can be said that Diane Alberga fulfills all the criteria of an exceptional employee and co-worker. ‘She doesn’t have to make an effort to be a friend or go that extra mile, it just comes naturally’ says Uldeen Evans the Rooms Division Manager. She is always generous and sports a smile everyday. She has even been known to bring in cold drinks for her fellow workers,’ reads the release.

‘On many occasions she has been observed stopping her own tasks to help others with theirs. Or if need be she pitches in with keeping the grounds and facilities of the hotel cleaned up and presentable.’

‘Someone who goes above and beyond the call of duty’ is how Mohd Amrin has been described by his supervisor, Tony AllenBrand, Food and Beverage Director. ‘Amrin has a great amount of knowledge and experience, and he passes his skills on to others’. This along with his ability to multitask and show extreme organization is what gets things done in the back house, said the release.

‘Diane and Amrin are pleasant to work with. Their attitudes are always polite and professional and they continuously exceed expectations in their respective jobs. Both their supervisors and peers certainly agree that they are both worthy candidates of this award.’

Luke McCoy, General Manager, and Eric Bush, Director of Human Resources, would like to thank them for their hard work and contributions to the hotel. Recipients of the Employee of the Month Award receive a framed certificate as well as a monetary award.
