Cayman’s CEA team recently competed in the second segment of the CEA competition hosted by Barbados. It was a very close competition between Barbados and the Cayman Islands with Barbados coming first, Cayman Islands second and Antigua third. The competition is quite difficult as the visiting teams to the host country only have five minutes to warm up on the foreign horses. With this in mind, Cayman rode very well on the Barbadian horses, said a team spokesperson.
In May the Cayman team will travel to Bermuda for the third segment where it will compete against Bermuda and Barbados. The overall results will not be available until the final segment which takes place in Jamaica in early November. At that point all participating countries will have completed their individual segments.
