Swim club welcomes new members

The Stingray Swim Club (SSC) announced reduced membership fees for the remainder of the 2004-2005 swimming season to make it easier for new children to join the island’s most popular sport.

The announcement of CI$55 membership fees for members was announced at the club’s 2004 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday, March 9. These fees include the dues for CIASA membership that also entitles the swimmer to reduced registration at the CIASA sea swims. Any additional family members joining SSC will only pay CI$25 each.

During the AGM, time was taken to review the past year and especially their incredible return to business of SSC and The Lions Pool only three weeks post-Ivan. Thanks were given to Andro Electric, CUC, Cayman Water Authority, Pools ‘R Us, Cable & Wireless, Island Paving, Coach Dominic Ross and the SSC volunteers that made the quick turnaround possible.

The club elected new directors and officers that will serve through the 2004-2005 club year that ends September 30th, 2005. The new board consists of: Toni Rombough (Vice-President), Adam Roberts (Secretary), Catherine Philip (Treasurer), Amanda Roberts (Fixtures Secretary), Sara Mackay (Publicity), Rob Duty (Director), Dunstan Groome (Acting Director), and Joe Stasiuk (President).
