Church stages Crusade for Christ campaign

Pastor Claudius Morgan, evangelist for the East Caribbean Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, conducted the Good News Crusade for Christ last month, resulting in the ‘conversion of 88 precious souls,’ According to a church press release.

The three-week evangelistic campaign was held under a canvass cathedral on the grounds of the church in Savannah.

Pastor Morgan, a former calypso singer, sang nightly in the midst of his preaching to the delight of the congregation.

Dr. Jeffrey K. Thompson, president of the Cayman Islands Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, officially opened the campaign.

The opening service was carried live on Radio Cayman. Pastor James Daniels, president of the East Caribbean Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, accompanied by Mrs. Daniels, attended the final weekend of the campaign. Pastor Morgan’s wife and family also attended the final weekend of the campaign.

Pastor Reinaldo Dracket, District Pastor of the Savannah Adventist Church, co-ordinated the program. He also conducted several marriages during the evangelistic meetings.

Elder Rosworth McLaughlin served as manager for the Good News Crusade for Christ.
