Street robbery
On Tuesday, 24 May, at 8.33pm, police received a call to a street robbery in the vicinity of George Town Hospital.
The female victim had been walking on a residential road when a man dressed in black, wearing a black hood and mask, approached her from behind.
During the struggle for her bag, the female was hit over the hand with a metal pipe causing a three-inch cut that required hospital treatment.
Police attended the scene and after a search nearby apprehended a 32-year-old Caymanian male from Windsor Park. The clothing that was worn was discovered nearby. CID officers are investigating.
Stabbing
At 8.26pm on Tuesday, police were called to a stabbing incident at a George Town address. The 28-year-old male victim received a one-inch stab wound to his shoulder that required hospital treatment.
A Northward male was later arrested for assault occasioning grievous bodily harm at George Town Police station.
DUI
In the early hours of Wednesday, police carried out stop checks in West Bay Road, arresting four persons in a six-minute period between 12.59am and 1.05am for driving whilst intoxicated.
Arrested were two male Canadian nationals, aged 52 and 54, a British female, aged 45, and a male American national aged 28.
