Red Cross draws winners

Five people who helped support Red Cross Week by buying raffle tickets were rewarded on Friday.

Red Cross Director Jondo Obi invited media to observe the ticket drawings.

Cayman Airways had donated one of the prizes, so Ms Marzeta Bodden was selected to draw the winning tickets. Ms Bodden works with CAL marketing and public relations.

The CAL prize was won by ticket #298240 in the name of Lance Bramwell.

The prize from Atlantis Submarine was won by #298357 in the name of Courtney Dailey.

Cayman Helicopter’s prize went to #298265 in the name of Lori Exum.

Red Sail Sports donated two prizes. A sunset cruise went to R. D. Christian with #298324. A trip to Stingray city was won by Mayumi Inara with #297863.

The prize from King’s Sport Centre went to #298220 in the name of Jim O’Neill.

Ms Obi explained that the prizes were ‘kid friendly’ to reflect the Red Cross Week theme of Family Preparedness.

Funds raised from the raffle will be used for preparedness materials, she indicated. Any announcement of total funds raised would have to come from the Red Cross financial director, she said.

Raffle winners may call 949-6785 to claim their prize.
