Stamps celebrates Rotary centennial

The first-day issues of stamps celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Rotary Club are now on sale, said a press release from the Rotary Sunrise Club

The unique Cayman Islands stamps – 15 cents and 30 cents – include the signatures of Governor Bruce Dinwiddy, an honorary Rotarian, as well as the signatures of all four Presidents of the Cayman Islands Rotary Clubs who held office during the centennial year.

The signed, limited edition first-day covers are also available mounted and framed for a small extra charge, the release said.

All funds raised from the sale of the stamps will go towards the Cayman Islands Rotary Hurricane Recovery Fund.

To order or for more information, contact Rotarian Phil Thomas at 926-0290 or email [email protected].

The Rotary Club was first chartered in 1905 by Chicago lawyer Paul P. Harris. Rotary International is one of the first service organizations in the world. Today, there are around 31,000 Rotary clubs located in 166 countries worldwide.
