Island Games roundup

Fine performances by the country’s swimmers and athletes have so far boosted Cayman to fourth place in the medal table at the NatWest Island Games.

Cayman can, according to the official results coming out of the Shetland games, already boast a medal haul of three golds and three silvers with only the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey currently standing above them in the medals ranking.

In swimming, Heather Roffey has grabbed gold in the 100m butterfly and a silver in the 200m freestyle.

And in athletics, Jenna Gaio took gold in the 100m with Carlos Morgan also claiming gold in the 200m.

Silvers have been secured by Carl Morgan in the 200m and Michael Letterlough in the hammer throw.
