Clean living nets reward

Twenty people from the Wesleyan Holiness Church’s Youth Department jetted to Pennsylvania recently after some hard work at a car wash.

Each one had to raise $855 to go on the trip that will see them visiting Hershey Park and the Amish country around Lancaster.

Part of the money was raised by setting up a car washing facility at the rear of the Texaco garage on Shedden Road. Mrs Lorna Blackman, her daughter Deann, Kimberley Pitta, Chevaughn Johnson, Ralston O’Connor and Garth Thompson were employed washing and polishing the cars that rolled up for the makeovers.

The party is due to return to Grand Cayman on August 1.
