The 8th annual Red Cross Golf Tournament, sponsored once again by the Royal Bank of Canada, will take place on Sunday, 4 September.
This year’s event will be held at the Britannia Golf Course with a shotgun start at 8am and again at 1pm. Event organizer and chairman of the Red Cross, Peter Milburn, informs the public that in order for the tournament to run smoothly, only one team (four persons) per hole will be allowed at both shotgun starts, which will result in a maximum of 36 teams competing for the beautiful RBC Trophy.
Hole sponsorships will be available for companies wishing to advertise.
The prizes for this year include cars for the hole-in-one, and a gold coin for the closest to the hole prize. As part of the tradition, dinner will be served after the tournament for all the participants.
The annual golf tournament is the main fundraiser for the Cayman Islands Red Cross, which offers such programmes as disaster preparedness/disaster response.
Mr. Milburn is encouraging the golfing and non-golfing public to come out and enjoy the event while support
