The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club launched the first of five one-day golf tournaments on Sunday, 19 April, marking the start of their 2026 Junior Golf Series.
This tournament series, supported by the Cayman Islands Golf Association, will continue throughout the month of May, with players earning points based on their performance in each outing to determine the overall series champions on 31 May.

The opening event saw 37 young golfers take to the course in competitive and recreational divisions under favourable weather conditions.
In the competitive division, which consisted of 18 holes for players aged 10 to 18, Matthew Dodson delivered a standout performance. He shot a personal best of 67, finishing 5-under par to secure first place and take an early lead in the series standings in his division.
Hunter Kassam followed in second place with a score of 76, while John Trout took third place with a 77.
The development division, a 9-hole category for the same age group, saw Sophia Santiago claim the top spot. She finished with a 4-over par 40, highlighted by a strong run of seven consecutive pars to close out her round.
The race for second place resulted in a tie, with Henry Meloy and Jonah Sabbah both carding a 41.
The series is set to continue with round two scheduled for Saturday, 2 May.
