Pic of the week: Golden sunsets are well worth their wait

There are some things that are worth waiting for each day in the Cayman Islands, and the consistency of our beautiful sunsets is one of them.

Many people also watch for the infamous ‘green flash’– an optical phenomenon that occurs just as the sun dips below the horizon, creating a vivid emerald light, which is sometimes noticeable here due to our clear skies and open ocean views.

This particular sunset was captured off of the North Sound and although no flash appeared, it is still pure gold.
