The Grand Cayman Parrot, along with the Cayman Brac Parrot, are endemic to the Cayman Islands and protected species. Recently Brianna Solomon was surprised to find one such parrot joined her and her dog on a daily afternoon walk.

Often, they like to bask on the roads, and have been granted the right of way throughout the islands. This beauty came forward to say hello during a recent tour of Little Cayman.

There are some things that are worth waiting for each day in the Cayman Islands, and the consistency of our beautiful sunsets is one of them. Many people also watch for the infamous ‘green flash’– an optical phenmenon that occurs just as the sun dips below the horizon, creating a vivid emerald light, which is particularly noticable here due to our clear skies and open ocean views.
