The English Football Association (FA) in conjunction with CONCACAF will be offering the FA-CONCACAF International Coaching License Course in Trinidad for September 21st-30th, 2005. The course will consist of tutorial sessions complemented by audio-visual presentations plus practical sessions encompassing techniques demonstration, skills practice, small sided games and phases of play.
Topics to be covered include:
• Field skills including passing, support, dribbling, ball control and movement
• Positional skills including goalkeeping, defending, attacking and shooting
• Coaching planning and preparation
• First Aid
• Fitness an Nutrition
• Laws of the Game
• Strategies and Tactics
The course is intended for individuals with some form of coaching experience, at least a basic coaching certificate, but preferably with experience at the national level. Upon completion, each successful delegate will be presented with the highly regarded FA International Coaching License certificate. Holders of this certificate may then be recommended for progression to the FA’s Advanced Coaching Course, held in the UK. The advanced certificate is recognized as equivalent to UEFA’s ‘A’ coaching award.
