Former West Indies cricket captain to visit Cayman

Former West Indies cricket captain Richie Richardson is due to arrive in Cayman today.

The visit jump starts Cayman’s involvement in the 20/20 Tournament.

Over the next 10 months Richardson will be making periodic visits to monitor Cayman’s progress and help with the national team’s preparation for the Stanford 20/20.

A special meeting with the national players and other interested people is scheduled for Saturday at Smith Road Oval. Players are requested to be at the venue by 3:30pm.

On Sunday, Richardson is set to visit the Jimmy Powell Oval and attend a CICA awards function at Kings Sports Centre.
