Continuing a Christmas tradition in the spirit of unity, Northward residents lit friendship candles at their roadside park last Sunday night.
Despite stiff breezes which kept blowing out the candles, it did little to snuff the spirits of these residents as they huddled closely to share a light.
Amid the twinkle of Christmas lights from the beautifully decorated park, attendees sang Christmas carols and heard the Christmas message from Rev. Myers.
Youngsters circled the group with cupped hands around lit candles passing the glow on to others.
The community effort of dressing up the park to mark the occasion had its beginning as a result of a neighbourhood crime watch that started some six years ago and still continues today with the help of staunch supporter Ms Darlene.
