More Cubans on Brac

Another 12 Cubans (ten men and two women) arrived on Cayman Brac Monday and were being transferred to Grand Cayman for processing in accordance with international conventions.

According to reports, one member of the group required medical attention and when some opted to stay with the ailing passenger, the others were unable to continue the voyage with the reduced crew.

This group of 12 will bring the number of Cuban migrants arriving over the last week on the Brac to 38, 26 of whom were transferred to Grand Cayman Monday, 26 December.

The arrivals bring the total to 99 Cuban migrants awaiting finalization of processing on Grand Cayman.
