dms gives Caymanians leg up

Cayman Islands-based business conglomerate dms Organization Ltd. (dms) has recognized four Caymanian members of its staff for their hard work by promoting them to various roles within the organization.

Kandie Hurlston, previously a receptionist and administrative assistant for dms Broadcasting, has been promoted to corporate administrator for dms Corporate Services, a dms company which provides corporate management services to institutional, corporate and high-net worth clients. Ms Hurlston is a John Gray High School graduate and also holds an Associates of Applied Science in Business Administration from The Community College of the Cayman Islands, states a press release.

Francesca Hamann – another JGHS graduate who was introduced to dms Organization through the student work experience programme – was promoted into Ms Hurlston’s role following a successful period as an administrative assistant for BrightIdeas, the organization’s marketing division.

Ms Hamann is an active member of the community and has volunteered for a number of community organizations on the island including St. Ignatius Vacation Bible School, the Humane Society and the Cayman Islands Junior Red Cross Volunteer.

Alice Ramos – also a JGHS graduate who began working in dms as an intern in Human Recourses – has been promoted to the role of marketing assistant for BrightIdeas. Ms Ramos commented: ‘The staff at dms Organization have been very supportive. It has been a great environment to start working life and develop my skills. I’m now looking forward to the challenge of my new role in dms’s marketing department.’

Caymanian Carlene Wilson has been promoted from her role as a filing clerk to an office administrator, in which her responsibilities include managing inventory of supplies, document storage and distribution of shipments and packages.
