‘We’re looking to make this the most spectacular event to date,’ said Jackie Hansen, Foundation Director. ‘We will be making up for lost time since having to postpone the event last year after hurricane Ivan.’

The sixth black-tie awards ceremony will be held at the Ritz Carlton on 11 March. It honours young Caymanians for their outstanding contributions to the community.

‘The Ritz-Carlton is going to sizzle with glamour and pizzazz,’ Ms Hansen said.

‘We will be putting on the glitz and rolling out the red carpet in honour of our young leaders.’

The gala evening kicks off with a champagne reception, followed by an elegant, sit-down dinner. To add to the excitement, the Awards ceremony will once again be televised live on Cayman27.

The evening will also feature a well-known guest speaker and live entertainment, whose names remain under wraps for now.

‘Of course the focal point of the evening will be the profiles and highlights of each of the individual finalists,’ said Ms Hansen.

‘They are the reason for the evening, and we will be showing specially-produced video features on each of them.’

Five finalists will be chosen with one winning the YCLA.
