Rundown, an annual comedic presentation of a year in the life of all that is Caymanian is fast approaching, a press release says.
This year, with many of the veteran cast members returning, the show pokes fun at what we deal with in everyday life in a light-hearted, laugh-a-minute approach.
A continuing feature of the script, written by local Caymanian Dave Martins, is the frequent references to well known people and to familiar recent happenings in the island. It’s a laugh at a life we all know about, intimately.
Produced by the Cayman National Cultural Foundation and directed by Henry Muttoo from its inception, the show this year features seven original songs by Dave Martins.
Opening night will be Thursday, 9 March and will be held at the Mary Miller Hall in Red Bay at 8pm. The production will run every Friday, Saturday and Sunday until Sunday, 26 March. Sunday will have a special performance time of 6pm in order to accommodate those who prefer an earlier performance.
