TeleCayman gets new chief

TeleCayman has announced the appointment of President and Chief Operating Officer Raul Nicholson-Coe, formerly general manager of Cingular and AT&T Wireless, states a press release.

Mr Philip Brazeau, director of TeleCayman and general council to Javelin Connections Bermuda Limited commented ‘TeleCayman has been driving forward in the telecommunications market, upgrading the network and developing a broad portfolio of new products that will benefit the business and residential community, island-wide. The timing is ideal to introduce Raul, a successful Telecomm executive, as president and COO, bringing with him a wealth of telecommunications experience and strategic direction.’

TeleCayman is a provider of data, Internet and fixed line voice products to Businesses and residents in Grand Cayman and has recently announced the upgrade of its current backbone and access networks to cater for increased demands by the business and corporate markets. As part of this overall project, diverse links will be used to increase redundancy between the Cayman Islands and foreign jurisdictions. The result for corporate customers is redundancy – a more resilient network with increased capacity for domestic and international value added solutions.
