Jersey-based specialist services group, Mourant, recently announced that it has been admitted as a listing agent by the Cayman Islands Stock Exchange.
The appointment is the latest stage in Mourant’s extension of its legal and administration services into the Cayman market. Mourant’s Cayman office opened in October 2004 and has established itself as an alternative to the longer-established Cayman firms.
Roisin Cater, a partner at Mourant’s Cayman office, said, ‘The CSX has an excellent reputation worldwide for its professionalism and efficiency and Mourant is pleased to have been accepted as a listing agent. This development allows us to offer our growing client list the fullest service in relation to Cayman-listed funds and securities issuing vehicles.’
Valia Theodoraki, CEO at the CSX, added, ‘We are delighted that Mourant Cayman has decided to join the CSX as a listing agent. The Exchange has experienced tremendous growth in the past 12 months. Adding Mourant as a listing agent is a welcome addition to the Exchange and a testament to the confidence in our services and in the Cayman Islands. We are convinced it will be a mutually beneficial experience.’
