Young cyclists in Bodden Town will be having a time of it this year in a bicycle decorating competition for Pirates Week. There will also be a category for strollers.
The bicycle competition in two age categories (10-12 and 6-9) is being organized by the Bodden Town Heritage Day Committee with the decorated bikes taking part in the Float Parade on Saturday, 11th November, in George Town. The winners will be announced at the Coe Wood Beach at 1pm on Monday 13 November during the Bodden Town District Day. There will also be a category in the competition for decorated strollers each of which must be accompanied by a parent or adult.
The Committee will be providing the decorations gratis, beginning Thursday 9 November. Participants may decorate their bicycles on their own premises, or at the Bodden Town School.
Entry forms are available from the Pirates Week Office, 10 Shedden Road, or from Vicki Robinson on 916-1826.
